Step 1
Fill a sink with warm, soapy water. Use a liquid dish soap formulated for grease removal.
Step 2
Remove the control plug by pulling it straight out from the housing on the skillet.
Step 3
Soak the skillet in the water, keeping the control housing outside of the water and dry. Soak for ten minutes for light cleaning, and up to two hours for baked-on food.
Step 4
Scrub the skillet clean with a nylon dish scrubber, or sponge. Do not use metal scrubbers or scrapers, as this will damage the aluminum and non-stick coating.
Step 5
Rinse the skillet with clear water and wipe down the outside with a damp cloth.
